Opening and Press Conference for the exhibition “No way. The hundred is there” in Hanoi

Following the exhibition’s success “No way. The hundred is there” in Ho Chi Minh City, on October 1, 2020, Global Embassy and Reggio Children, in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam and the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City are holding a special international exhibition, “No way. The hundred is there”, in Casa Italia, Hanoi, which opens a series of academic activities on the Reggio Emilia Approach® in Early Childhood Education in Vietnam. The exhibition will be open to the public from October 2 – October 18, 2020. The entrance to the exhibition is free.

Loris Malaguzzi (1920 – 1994), educationalist and pedagogist, together with the municipality of Reggio Emilia and several of its local administrators and citizens, contributed to building Reggio Emilia’s network of municipal preschools and infant-toddler centers and developed the Reggio Emilia Approach® educational project.

The centenary of the birth of Loris Malaguzzi (1920/2020) offers the opportunity, in Italy and around the world, to celebrate the pedagogist and to share reflections and ideas about the present and the future of the Reggio Emilia Approach.

With a theme taken from the title of the Italian poem “No way. The hundred is there”, which is also the manifesto of the Reggio Emilia Approach®, the exhibition demonstrates the right to learn and educate, as well as the extraordinary potential of children’s “hundred languages”. Through its open and interactive space, the exhibition narrates the experiences at Reggio Emilia’s municipal infant-toddler centers and preschools which develop and expand innovative projects in pedagogy, architecture, environment, politics, society, organization, and management from the point of view of Loris Malaguzzi et al.
